 South Western Times Fitness Challenge!
Everyone needs a fitness regime suited to them and their needs. Some people want to tone up, some want to increase their fitness levels and others trim down their weight.
 
South Western times has recruited 4 high profile community members to participate in a tailored 8 week program aimed to reach their fitness goals.
 
 
They have also picked 4 health a fitness business whom will provide full training/health/dietary advice to their given participant for this 8 week period.
 
Business and participants are:
 
Mediloss, Dr Brenda Murrison will be training Geoff Beard
 
Forrest Fitness & Tanning, Nat Landers will be training Noel Brunning
 
Healthy Inspirations, Sue Dindale will be training Sharon Lomax
 
Eaton Recreation Centre, Ben will be training Mark Chester

Sunday 24th April 10
 
  • Congratulations Noel on completing the 8 week South Western Times Fitness Challenge!
  • Losing a total of 8kg over the challenge. " I can now do up my my top button on my collared shirts with out feeling like some one is choking me", Noel says.
  • Noels gerneral fitness and strength has increase dramatically, he no longer feels out of breath with in the first 10 minutes of running.
  • What amazing results in just 8 weeks.
 
 
Tuesday 20th April 10
 
  • Noel was back to training today with Nat after her break. Things were a bit hard to start off with but feeling great when we finished.
  • Noel confessed to putting on a couple of kgs over the break but managed to lose it all plus a bit more to now bring him to a total of 7kg weightloss.
  • The new program has been great and really nice to do something different.
  • We are seeing some great improvements in muscle strength and Noel held the plank position for 2 minutes today. Great effort Noel!!
 
 
Thursday 1st April 10
 
  • Noels weight loss is now up to 6.2kg in 5 weeks
  • He has noticed an increase in muscular strength and can now run longer distances without losing his breath and feeling puffed
  • Noels moods have lifted dramatically and does not feel the need to snack aimlessly junk foods
  • We have just switched Noels program to two intense resistance workouts, two cardio workouts and still two one on one training sessions with our trainer Nat
  • Things are going great and we are really starting to notice muscle definition especially in the legs shoulders and arms. Plus you can see Noels tummy becomming more flatter.
 
 
Tuesday 9th March 10
 
  • Noel has now lost a total of 2.5kg in just over a week, top effort Noel!
  • Cardio-training is becomming less of an effort and he is looking forward to each session.
  • "My headaches and grumpiness have passed but I am feeling a little tired today." -This is normal when starting out on a fitness regime, it too shall pass at about the 2 week mark.
  • Noel has started to take a protein supplement drink once a day before his workouts to reduce recovery time and break down of the muscles.

(after second training session with Nat)
 
  • Since starting the fitness challenge on Monday, Noel has lost 1 kg of body weight already.
  • On Wednesday "I woke up feeling awake and really good" Noel said.
  • His family has joined in with the healthy challenges and they are all following the Biggest Loser Diet
  • Noel is exercising each day. 20 mins of weights Monday-Saturday as well as a cardio session varring with aerobic, interval and circuit. On Sundays he has a leisurley walk to relax with.
  • Noel has cut out coffee & wine from his diet and is now drinking Oolong tea.
  • He felt a bit grumpy and had headaches due to caffine withdrawals. This shall past in the next few days and he should be feeling brand new soon enough!
